Open Letter to Blake Lively
May 28, 2009 · Leave a Comment
Dear Blake,
I love your character in Gossip Girl, free-spirited, uber party Serena van der Woodsen. I understand for some artists it is difficult to differentiate reality from the characters they portray. This may not be true for your personal behavior, but apparently your chest has a different opinion. We know you have a gifted bosom but there is no need to let it all hang out there. I’ll let it slide over the summer (this weather is ridiculous), but once september rolls along please buy a sweater.
xoxo,
Jack

Bird Watching

In case you haven’t read the June issue of Harper’s Bazaar, let me clue you in. Gela Nash-Taylor and Pamela Skaist-Levy, the fab designers behind Juicy Couture, are bringing another line into the world: Bird by Juicy Couture. A little more edgy; a little more rock and roll.
It’s streetwear; it’s what we do best. But this is just for a different, sophisticated girl–a bit more chic, a bit more urban – Gela
Personally, I like the non-velour-tracksuit juicy the best so I sense success. The fact they will be selling at Bergdorf Goodman is just icing on the cake. I can see little J wearing this stuff all over the UES.

So, neglected is probably an understatement for the way I’ve been treating you. Sorry; it’s just that in between packing up everything (again), moving (again), starting class, and getting sick(!) I’ve just lost track of everything. I was able to watch the premier of Gossip GIrl and there’s another episode on tonight! Everybody get excited.
Oh yeah, and I have an Italian quiz on Wednesday and all I can say is “Io mi chiamo Jack.”
This is going to be an interesting semester.

Phelps had me in a trance…

Sorry for the ridiculous lack of updates but the Olympics had me entertained a little too much. For those who have been living in a cave, Michael Phelps has won 8 gold medals – more than anyone else in Olympic History (and broke 7 world records in the process). WOW! Not a bad body either…
Tennis wise, my darling Rafael Nadal (currently #1!) won the gold medal for Spain and Roger Federer, the previous #1, won gold in men’s doubles.
Cute-as-a-button Shawn Johnson won gold in the balance beam and her teammate Nastia Liukin won gold in the individual all-around.

The new season of Gossip Girl is less than a month away. Needless to say I’m counting down to September 1st (when I’m not buying more shoes that is). Will Blair and Chuck ever get together (for real)? Will Serena and Dan kiss and make up? What’s the deal with Nate? Will Jenny survive being Eleanor Waldorf’s apprentice? Will Jenny and Nate get together already? Will the Queen B get back her “loyal” subjects? Will she even care? I mean, if I were her I’d leave them off to fend for themselves after how they behaved. Between Serena and her, they can get anything they want anyway. So many questions… luckily we’ll get our answers soon. For now we’ll just have to amuse ourselves with coming up with random plot twists and the awesome ads slowly taunting us about the upcoming season. The poster ads for the second season are devilishly clever if you ask me and the clips are hilariously witty. Check this one out:
